Ducati Superbike Evolution

The Panigale V4 is the product of an engineering project inspired by the exceptional performance of Ducati's V-4 Desmo GP racer. The V-4 configuration soon became a winning formula for Ducati, as the brand broke from its traditional V-2 layout to take on the world's finest multi-cylinder superbikes. After a significant refresh in 2022, Ducati's Panigale V4 now has a new evolution for 2025.

Let’s take a look at the specifications of the new beast in a bit more detail

the glorious V4 motor intelligently packaged

Engine:

1103cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine with counter rotating crankshaft to reduce inertia, 1kg lighter than before overall, peak power is now achieved at 500rpm higher. Torque slightly decreased and achieved higher in the revs, down from 91.2lb.ft at 9500rpm on the outgoing machine. Power slightly increased to 224.9bhp with the optional track only Akrapovič exhaust system, which also sheds 6.6kg from the overall weight.

Improved aero for 2025

Aerodynamics:

Drag is reduced by 4%. The front end has also been raised by 25mm, with the rear bodywork dropped slightly. The tail piece has also extended further from the rear of the bike . The new front mudguard  is designed to maximise aerodynamic efficiency.

New double swingarm design

A new Swingarm:

A shell-cast aluminium double-sided with large cut outs to expose the 17in rear wheel, which actually reduces lateral stiffness by a whopping 37% to improve traction. Combined with the suspension and rear wheel assembly, the back end is now a claimed 3.8kg lighter than the outgoing bike

Styling has been a love or hate saga amongst many

New Styling:

The new styling divides opinion, aggressive looking front lights have gone , a narrower, design with the mirrors now also mounted within the front fairing. 

Suspension:

Suspension is electronic Öhlins , with a set of NPX-30 forks and a TTX 36 shock absorber, plus a steering damper. The fork and shock have new hydraulic spool valves to offer a greater range of adjustment between road/track modes  

Dynamic new dash

Dash is a new 6.9in full colour TFT unit and Fuel Tank remains at 17-litres

Wheels and Tires: forged aluminium rims with Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V4 tyres.

Electronics:

A new six-axis IMU, traction control, wheelie control, slide control, launch control, an up/down quickshifter. Also, new ‘Race eCBS’ combined braking system developed in collaboration with Bosch to encourage the use of some rear brake on circuit. Up to 15.5% rear brake pressure can be applied, with the system working harder depending on the aggressiveness of the front brake application

Brakes:

New four-piston Brembo Hypure calipers with 330mm discs are 30grams lighter on either side than the Brembo Stylemas.

Wet Weight: 421 lb (191kg) and 412 lb (186kg) for the S version
